Adult Bible Study

New Adult Sunday school video series begins on April 7th and will run for the next 6 months.
That the World May Know’ films, a ministry by bible teacher and author Ray Vander Laan, is an
exciting visual journey through the bible and the Holy Land. Ray’s preaching and teaching ministry is
focused on understanding the Bible in light of the historical and cultural context in which God placed it.
This perspective on the Bible highlights God’s call for His people to be a transforming influence on their
culture. This new Sunday School series will provide DCCC an opportunity to greatly understand and
appreciate the Bible more by giving one a sense of the land and the culture from which it sprang.
The next 5 weeks begin in the Old Testament with a journey through ‘The Promised Land’.
Travel to Israel and radically change your understanding of the Scriptures. Wet your feet in the Jordan
River and impact the culture with life-giving water. Show your trust in the Lord’s provision by offering
up first fruits at Jericho. And cleanse the land by confronting evil and using the tools of society to
redeem your world for God.
In this first volume of the That the World May Know series, historian and teacher Ray Vander Laan
will show you how God guided his people to a specific place – the Promised Land – to impact the world
